Updates!

Ok, so I've been gone for a while, I know. Things have been a little crazy in "real life", and after everything settled down John and I got a new Kodak 14MP camera as an early Christmas present. I was waiting for it to get here to film any videos because it has HQ video, but alas..I went through three sets of batteries filming an eight minute video! Sooo, we sent that one back and we're going to try a Canon this time. It should be here at the end of this week or early next week, so I'm pretty excited. Cross your fingers for us! I'll post links at the end of this post to both cameras just in case anyone wants to know.

So, other than that..I had a terrible relapse. Now we all know I broke up with MAC, but I had to return some stuff and apparently their return policy has changed and I was past the 30 day limit. My options were recieving a gift card in the mail or just exchanging stuff, so I figured I might as well exchange it. So, does that REALLY count? heheh
Anyway, here's what I got :

Soft and Gentle MSF, Malt eyeshadow & Shale eyeshadow

I honestly recommend the MSF, but it is VERY shimmery, so if you do try it out just use a teeny tiny bit or else it will look like a shimmerbomb went off on your face! I haven't really played with the eyeshadows yet, but so far I don't think they're the greatest thing ever.

Now for the Kodak camera. The pictures were alright after lots of playing around with the settings, but honestly not what I expected 14MP to deliver at ALL. The videos were AMAZINGLY crisp, but like I said..three sets of batteries in eight minutes is just silly.

Here's the Canon we just ordered. I've had my heart set on it for a few months now, especially knowing how wonderful Canons usually are. After I've tried it out I'll post a little update about it in case maybe some of you are in the market for a new camera!

I was reading your blog about the camera situation. It's such a bummer to buy a camera that boasts great features but that doesn't perform well. I have a Casio that's 10.1 megapixels, but unless I mess with the settings like crazy, the images are way soft. Which is pathetic considering my 4.0 megapixel Canon was crisper on its own.
